GROUP INFORMATION SESSION

Immediately following the walking tour you will then have a chance to ask all of your specific questions in a group information session.

College representatives, such as admissions officers and college students, will be on hand to provide detailed information about a wide range of areas, including the following:
  • Admission Requirements
  • College academic requirements
  • Financial aid options
  • Housing
  • Student services
  • Extracurricular activities
Another important part of your itinerary is the opportunity to explore other areas of interest on campus as well as visit adjacent communities that surround the campus. By the end of the trip, you will have a real understanding of the pros and cons of the colleges you have been considering.

WHY TOUR WITH OUTLOOK?

Make Informed Decisions Before You Apply

Relying on college brochures and books is not enough — the only way to understand what a college is really like is to see it yourself. Outlook College Tours enables you to visit campuses and take a realistic look at daily campus life, adjacent communities, and the academic programs. Touring with Outlook helps you find the information you need to feel confident that the colleges to which you apply are places where you can be successful.

Save Money
  • Travel expenses: Traveling to colleges as a family can be very costly. This is especially the case when parents have to take time off from work only to accumulate the cost of a family college road trip. Hotel rooms, meals, and transportation for everyone add up quickly. With Outlook College Tours, parents only pay for one person - you!
  • Application fees: Why pay the application fee and invest time in applying to a college if you are not certain that it is the right match for you? By touring schools early in the process, you will know which schools to eliminate from your list before you apply.
  • Future expenses: By touring colleges early on, you will be less likely to change your mind after enrolling and attending classes. This saves the hassle and expense of transferring to a new school, moving to a new residence, and possibly retaking classes that are non-transferable.
Take Ownership of Your Future

You will feel empowered because your participation in Outlook College Tours is a proactive step towards making a life-choice that is right for you. What's more, touring campuses can help demonstrate to your preferred colleges that you have a high level of interest and motivation. Mentioning in your application that you have visited the campus and spoken with campus staff can give you an edge over applicants who have not.

Camaraderie

Participating in Outlook College Tours is a great way to meet other students who are dealing with the pressures and excitement of searching for the right college. You will get acquainted with your fellow tour group participants, talk openly about your concerns, and learn from one another's experiences. The support of peers who are going through the same process can help relieve some of the stress as well as motivate you to achieve your academic goals.
